For eco-luxe cosmetics line L’eclisse, we conceptualized and implemented a studio shoot with a fashion-inspired twist, contrasting the luxury of the product with the natural ingredients. Abstract nature-inspired props and backdrops provided a sense of space; luxurious styling was balance with natural hair, makeup, and poses. Soft, beautiful, stylized lighting created a subtle sense of mystique and visual twist that fused the polish of a studio shoot with the natural feel of a location image.
Comprehensive cosmetics and skincare line Skinn needed a series of web banner images to promote the properties of key products while drawing in users to click through the shopping experience. In this example, we communicated the hydrading, cooling, and light feeling of the product with a stylized ice scene.
Hairdreams wanted to communicate that their ultra premium hair extensions were as luxurious as the customer’s most premium fashion accessories. We took a modern, futuristic, and expressive approach to the adversiting photography that reflects the artistry of hair styling. Hints of a stylized home environment were created by building a custom set, to tell the story of the Hairdreams woman getting ready for a night out on the town.
For up-and-coming fashion brand Kain Label, the lookbook photography had to convey the casual sophistication of the line with bold and clean imagery that would not distract from the clothes. A custom one-of-a-kind painterly backdrop was selected to accent the unique apparel designs with a more dramatic look.
The feature image for the Joe’s Jeans sale contrasted the fun and flirty aspects of the clothes with the grit of downtown Los Angeles. The model’s captured movement added a sense of drama and energy and brought attention to the jeans.
For the launch of the new HIP Case+ for iPhone 6, PureGear needed to demonstrate both the functional capabilities and the lifestyle applications of the product. Our carefully planned shots executed in and around our studio featured a male, female, and toddler model in a combination of location and set environments. A shallow depth of field technique and clean, bright lighting brought a warm, accessible look to the images.
For premium outdoor heating company Infratech, the photography had to reflect the upscale lifestyle of the end user while appealing to the savvy architects and designers that specify the heaters for their building projects. This advertising photo shoot featured a gorgeous residential heater installation with four carefully cast and styled models to communicate outdoor entertaining lifestyle.
As part of the new brand direction, one of the major goals was to move Indigenous to a more sophisticated photography aesthetic. For the fall and winter line, a gradated grey background was chosen for a cleaner look. Expressions and poses were still friendly and approachable, but an additional element of movement was added to bring more energy to the shots. Casual yet exaggerated movements featured the texture and mobility of the clothes.
This feature image for a luxury shoe sale had to feature a range of designers without emphasizing a single brand. This artful arrangement created a collage effect that drew the viewer’s eye to each piece; dramatic, graphic lighting allowed for each shoe to pop off the web page.
Kain needed e-commerce photography for their entire line to support their new venture into selling their clothes directly through their website. A hot white technique was selected to portray the effortless and sophisticated look of the line and to allow for a clean product presentation when shopping online.
Mobile accessory company Jellyfish needed lifestyle shots to feature their new product lineup that would embody the youthful spirit of the brand. A combination studio and lifestyle shoot covered a range of lifestyle applications and product uses. Emotional, candid model expressions and contemporary styling were used to convey the energetic quality of the brand.
For premium bath accessory client Seachrome, we needed hero photography for use in prominent placement in print ads, collateral, and online. For this high end location shoot featuring their stylish aging in place products, we cast a model that read as mature enough to appeal to their older end customers, and youthful enough to present the brand in an aspirational light. Careful arrangement, propping, and posing brought attention to the client’s products in a luxurious bathroom environment.
Twin Eagles designs and manufactures premium grills and accessories to outfit upscale outdoor kitchens. Our overall brand strategy fused the concept of the stylish innovation of the products and the idea of the lifetime memories that are made entertaining outdoors with friends and family. To communicate this idea, we conceptualized, produced, and executed a comprehensive location shoot at a local mid-century Eichler home. A custom kitchen was built and installed, and models were cast to represent a multi-generational family. Food styling, wardrobe, and props added finishing touches to bring the environment to life.
The feature image for the A & G Rock sale captured the delicate, flowy nature of the scarves with bright light illuminating the back of the shot. The model’s captured movement added a sense of drama and energy and showed off the unique print of the product.

For Heidi Klum’s In An Instant, the brand color (and Heidi’s favorite pink) was the launching point and the inspiration for the photography for this skincare line. An overall bright, fun, yet soft look was created with artful lighting and careful product arrangements, allowing the all-white product packaging to pop.
The beauty advertising shots for the MUD cosmetics line convey honest, approachable beauty with carefully selected expressions to give a sense of each character’s lifestyle. Realistic retouching maintained the accuracy of each demographic for an honest connection to the audience, and MUD’s signature grey was used as a backdrop to further connect the shots to the brand.
For the launch of this new website, the advertising shots had to emphasize shoes in the context of a full length fashion spread. A series of playful poses with exaggerated foot positions drew attention to the shoes and created an overall fun, fresh, and energetic look.
For the launch of their new Slim Shells for iPhone 4S, PureGear wanted to showcase all the product colors inspired by French macarons in one hero image. Our solution was an artfully styled product shot that featured the bright and bold colors in a playful manner. Stylized lighting enhanced the glossy texture of the products; imagery on the phone screen brought the flavor concept to life.

In addition to featuring the line, the product shoot for Color Edge had to serve as the main advertising imagery. To communicate the natural compositions and fresh scents, actual product ingredients were carefully propped around the products for a bold sensory experience.
In this campaign to kickoff the new XCVI brand, classic backgrounds made the clothes pop while pop-art inspired set design gave the images a clever twist. The images spoke to the unique process involved in making the clothes and pulled the viewer into this conceptual, dynamic campaign.
In this catalog photography for Halloween costumes, a fun yet fashionable approach was taken. A clean, white background and beauty lighting gave the costumes an upscale feel — playful poses and expression allowed the characters to come to life.
To convey the ultra-premium brand aesthetic of natural-luxury cosmetics line L’eclisse, we created a series of group shots for prominent placement online and in print ads and brochures. Mila needed strong advertising and product photography to launch her skincare line at premium retailer Barney’s. Artfully styled hero photographs featuring product groupings in a bold, dynamic, and architectural presentation. A unique, stylized set and lighting design gave the products a premium feel and helped the line to stand out amongst other prominent luxury skincare competitors.
[Platinum Visual Systems]
Our big idea for visual display manufacturer Platinum was creativity — the boards and display products enabled the end user to express themselves in their own individual manner. Our second iteration of the Platinum hero photography involved bringing the idea of individual expression to life through carefully styled subjects representing each of the company’s key market segments playfully interacting with Platinum products.
To promote their projector product line to gamers, Epson needed a series of advertising images that depicted young millenials gamers interacting with video games. We built out and decorated a custom set in our studio to look like a 20-something’s apartment, and cast energetic models to depict real gamers. Careful styling and propping further added to the dynamic, emotional, and youthful feel of the final images.
