Kitchen Collaborative Helps Infratech Launch Their First-Ever Outdoor Living Design Contest
Over the past 13 years, we have helped Infratech establish their position as the leader in outdoor heating solutions, both with end customer and specifier audiences. During that time, their brand has grown to become a favorite amongst architects, designers, and builders that utilize their outdoor heaters and controls in their residential and commercial designs.
Building and nurturing relationships with these specifiers has become a cornerstone of our traditional and digital marketing efforts, with an emphasis on creating loyalty through social media and editorial content bolstering key partners. To build on these relationships and create new partnerships, we strategized and launched Infratech’s first-ever Outdoor Living Design Contest, open to design-build professionals that have specified Infratech products in their outdoor space designs.
Our strategy for this sweepstakes-style contest was to build pride in existing Infratech specifiers about their projects, and bring in new professionals considering outdoor heating in their upcoming design-build projects. We explored naming for the contest, built out contest messaging and rules, and worked with Infratech to secure judges.
The next step was to create a video for the microsite that quickly explained the key points of the contest, which we would also utilize for social media and digital advertising content. We partnered with one of Orange County’s most prestigious builders, Andrew Patterson, CEO and Founder of Patterson Custom Homes, to deliver the contest message from the voice of a judge.
We then designed and built a microsite which included an entry form, contest rules, judge bios, grand prize information, and FAQs. The site design had to blend with the Infratech site but also stand alone and be clear and concise to appeal to the busy design-build pro. We used infographics to highlight the important information throughout the site, and to make it user-friendly but still premium and beautiful.
To formally announce the contest to existing contacts, we developed a custom newsletter centered around the contest and other relevant content that went to our extensive list of specifiers. We created a comprehensive social media and digital ad plan accordingly to create awareness with new audiences.
