Kitchen Collaborative Organizes a Pre-Grand Opening Press Event for Bella del Mar

After several months of working with our client Bella del Mar on the retail design of their upscale California casual boutique, the store celebrated its Pre-Grand Opening with a press event for local bloggers, journalists and fashionistas in early August. We helped the owners organize a party that would reflect the shop’s seaside style while giving an exclusive preview to interested members of the media.

We launched our party planning process by contacting the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce to arrange a ribbon-cutting ceremony. After a date for the ceremony had been secured, we began planning what the store would do to celebrate its guests. We chose to offer visitors a special discount on any merchandise and a chance to enter a giveaway featuring jewelry from the store. We also ran a giveaway on Bella del Mar’s social accounts where one lucky fan would get the chance to attend this exclusive event.

While all this was happening, we got started on the behind-the-scenes work. We researched relevant figures in the local media and reached out to them with a special invitation to the party. We designed invites and worked with a printing company in the area to print them, as well to create event signage and promotional material featuring the store’s social media hashtags and links. We coordinated drinks and hors d’oeuvres with the owner’s caterer, including some amazing cupcakes that featured the Bella del Mar logo.

On the night of the party, a member of our team at Kitchen Collaborative attended the event to meet the press, create social posts live from the event, and to support the new store owners as they received congratulations on a very successful launch.
