IKEA Spoofs Apple in Latest Ad

Mocking Apple’s iconic advertising has been a reoccurring trend throughout the years. For example, Kindle created an ad based on Apple’s long-running “Get a Mac” campaign which featured two characters bantering about the functionality of the Kindle vs. actual books. They even had the same sound track, clean white background, and bright lighting used in the original Apple ads. Following suit, Swedish furniture company IKEA pokes fun at Apple in their latest spot “Experience the Power of the Book Book,” which was released just in time for the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+.

“The 2015 IKEA catalog comes fully charged, and the battery is eternal. The navigation is based on tactile touch technology that you can actually feel” states the actor on screen. The joke continues on IKEA’s website, where you can find information on the product’s so-called touch interfaces and lifelong battery. Watch the video here:
