Kitchen Collaborative at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Planning events and engaging with consumers in person is an important aspect of marketing a brand, gaining customers and reaching target audiences. As part of our social media services, localized event marketing is key in gaining brand awareness with specialized audiences.

Most recently, we worked with natural makeup and skincare line, L’eclisse, on the company’s involvement in the Los Angeles County Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Dodger Stadium. As a sponsor for the event, L’eclisse set up a beauty bar inside the Survivor Oasis where professional makeup artists gave free makeovers to breast cancer survivors.

From conception to execution, our team worked with L’eclisse to create a unique and customized event within a given budget. From designing branded materials, writing and distributing press information, to working with third party vendors, negotiating contracts and coordinating with the Susan G. Komen staff, public relations team and event planning company, our team orchestrated a one-of-a-kind experience.

On top of our event planning services, we also organized day-of coordination by overseeing setup and breakdown, contracting brand ambassadors and makeup artists and engaging with the online community with live social media updates and posts throughout the entirety of the event.

The Race for the Cure was a huge success for both participating clients – L’eclisse handed out over 800 product giveaways, conducted dozens of survivor makeovers and increased its mailing list subscribers by nearly 75%.

Another Kitchen Collaborative client, PureGear, also had a presence at the Susan G. Komen race. To promote their involvement and booth, we helped to get the word out directly to the press and via social media in advance and created special graphics and signage to promote the event. We have also helped to create unique branded experiences and live social media posts for PureGear at events including the Abbot Kinney Festival, Downtown L.A. Art Walk, USC Fan Fest and the smart car 80’s brunch event.
