From Trash to Treasure: Reclaimed Robot Sculptures!
We don’t often repost other blog stories, but this one was just so much fun and inspirational! NY artist David Lipson assembles these one-of-a-kind robot sculptures from random new and old objects collected from sources such as The Salvation Army, the street, garbage dumps, and hardware stores. The result is a vintage yet modern aesthetic with a strong sense of visual wit, and a very current message of sustainability in using the reclaimed parts to make art. I particularly like the humor of the robot running after his mechanical dog.
