Staff Spotlight: Raquel, Graphic Designer

Graphic Designer Raquel is one of the newest additions to our team here at Kitchen Collaborative. She is responsible for creating ad designs, shareable social media graphics, and anything else that needs to be visually appealing while inspiring our clients’ audiences to take action. Prior to joining us in February 2017, Raquel began her career working with nonprofits and startups in the Bay Area, later moving to Los Angeles and creating interactive media, print and branding media content for clients like Patagonia, SCI-Arc, Under Armour and Fusionetics. She holds B.A. and A.A. degrees in Graphic Design from San Francisco State University and attended the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?
-My phone, for obvious reasons.

What would you do if you weren’t doing this?
-I like the idea of being a florist. Arranging bouquets and working with plants sounds so therapeutic.

-Creative, distinctive and empowering.

What has been your favorite project at Kitchen Collaborative?
-I currently enjoy working on websites and branding projects. It’s a lot of work and feels very rewarding to complete.

What do you like to do outside of work?
-I like cooking, eating and being active.

What is your dream vacation?
-To backpack through South America.

What is the best book you’ve ever read?
-I can’t choose just one but I really enjoy reading about nutrition and health.

People would be surprised if they knew:
-I did gymnastics growing up.
