Interactive Light Display Technology Gets an Ad Job

Reminiscent of the pixel based graphics of the 1980’s, clever light diplays are well known on technology blogs and have created a cult-like following. The popularity of these displays is not surprising — the group participation and resulting performance is quite remarkable and entertaining. Advertisers are now taking note of this trend and integrating similar ideas into viral marketing campaigns. Weiden + Kennedy Amsterdam has capitalized on the popularity of these displays by creating a commercial utilizing this technology for Honda’s Hybrid Insight for Honda Motor Europe. Much like the light displays that are usually put on by technology students, the idea is a perfect fit for the techno-savvy hybrid/electric car crowd.
